I think there are many shorts on this stock that will cover positions quickly once new stimulus talks are more serious... or even before once they figure out further downside is limited.. i see this rebounding to 47 49 very soon... i don't care what they say on TV about banks... this is trading.. im not saying this is Apple up every year... im saying the mean reversion will be very quick.. possible catalysts are bank testing, stimulus, vaccine, trump, etc whatever it is this is mean reverting

I agree. There was an article yesterday that said once money cycles back into bank stocks, this will likely jump 10-20% within days.

At current price, there is more upside than downside. Citi is oversold.

lol. "Oversold". Simple nobody want to buy it. Does Citi have great business growth potential like Tesla? No. Does Citi paid a lot of dividends like ATnT or GM? No.

I worked in Citigroup. It's a very odd company. Internally, literally, it is made up of many, many groups of businesses that mostly have come from acquisitions. All in the same partition land. Some are amazingly good and others are weird groups of religious people or kind of "hives". But the mgmt up in the C suites are all crooks. Aren't they all? But Citi more than any other. Something weird goes on there. Has done for decades since they merged with Travelers.

Citi is not as diversified as it could be. A lot of exposure to retail credit cards. No stimulus check, no pay on credit card

They are selling on the news. When the human error case happened in Aug Citi just had a -2% down for 2 days. I wonder what goes unexpected now that drives the stock down too much? Didnt the analysts think of the scenario of being charged by the gov or improving the risk framework which costs the bank when the isue was reported? They should have discounted that with a probability.
